Camp Mabry

About

Camp Mabry is an 800+ acre facility established in 1892, making it the third-oldest active military installation after both Fort Bliss and Fort Sam Houston.

Camp Mabry is the home to the Joint Force Headquarters of the Texas Military Forces, as well as the headquarters of the Texas National Guard, the Texas Air National Guard, numerous supply and training buildings and facilities, and the Texas Military Forces Museum. The museum and camp are open to anyone with a valid government-issued ID card.

Mission Statement: 
To tell the story of the Texas Military Forces from 1823 through the present and into the future, support the mission of the Texas Military Forces, honor our veterans, educate our fellow citizens, promote esprit d'corps among the men and women of the Texas Military Forces, and inspire our youth to serve.
