I am in the Army reserves and I joined via the split-op program. I completed Basic in June 2010, and graduated high school in June 2011. I ran into trouble and was forced to have my ship date pushed back. My situations were cleared in October 2011 and I've been awaiting A.I.T. since. Yet, I still don't have a confirmed date. Would anyone have any clue to why that is? I mean does the paperwork have to travel to heaven for a reply? I am very impatient and trouble always finds me, and that's really why i'm so anxious to leave.
It could be a whole bunch of reasons why you haven't heard anything yet. It's possible that they just can't find space at AIT. Get in touch with your unit Schools NCO or possibly a full-timer in your S-3 or even S-1. Ask your first line supervisor who you should contact. You're working with other part-timers & they can only handle things like that on drill weekends. That always delays the process. That's why you have AGR full-timers to handle the day to day operation of your unit.
Keep your nose clean & stay away from trouble. As a Reservist you have the obligation to keep yourself ready for any possible activation no different from someone in the Active Duty Army.
